We don’t just assist with the buying and selling of homes here at Sterling Real Estate Group. We actively support those who live and work in the Saratoga region, both as a company and through the efforts of our individual real estate professionals.
Check out two important updates below regarding causes we care about: The Saratoga Showcase of Homes and the start of our annual Holiday Heroes Food Drive.
2022 Saratoga Showcase of Homes
Sterling Real Estate Group Director of Sales and Marketing/Licensed Real Estate Broker Lisa M. Licata (far right in the checks photo above) has been Co-Chair of the Saratoga Showcase of Homes for 16+ years.
This past October marked the 26th year for the annual event, which is produced by the Saratoga Builders Association. Each fall, carefully selected new homes in the region are opened up to the public to display the hard work of the top builders in our area – and it’s for two great causes.
Over the past nearly 30 years, the Saratoga Showcase of Homes has raised close to $1.5 million for Rebuilding Together Saratoga County and Habitat for Humanity of Northern Saratoga, Warren and Washington Counties.
Although this year’s event was reduced to just five homes on the tour due to labor and material shortages, the weekend-long fundraiser brought in 2,500 people, and raked in $48,000 for its well-deserving beneficiaries.
Congrats to this year’s incredible builders who were showcased: Belmonte Builders, DSG Construction & Remodeling, Kodiak Construction, Trojanski Builders, and Witt Construction.
2022 Holiday Heroes Food Drive
Our third annual Holiday Heroes Food Drive is currently underway! You can drop off nonperishable food items to our Ballston Spa office at 1487 Saratoga Road between now and December 12. Drop off at any time!
Donations go to the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, who in turns distributes the goods to food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, and to other worthwhile programs in the Saratoga area.
Great donation items include: peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables, rice, pasta, canned spaghetti sauce (no glass jars please), cereal, canned tuna, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shaving cream, toilet paper, diapers, and deodorant.
This is not an exhaustive list, but includes many of the top items typically needed the most. Thank you in advance for your donations, and we look forward to more community collaborations and fundraising events in the new year to come!
